Gear Geometry Parameters Normal module (Mn), number of teeth (Z), helix angle (β), pressure angle (α), face width (b), bore diameter, keyway dimensions. If unavailable, send the worn gear for reverse engineering.

Material Specification Steel grade (e.g. 42CrMo, 20CrMnTi, 17CrNiMo6) and required surface treatment: soft tooth QT (HB range), carburized (HRC), or induction hardened (HRC). DIN and ASTM grades are cross-referenced by our engineers.

Accuracy Grade & Surface Finish Required DIN class (3–9) or AGMA class. Tooth flank roughness Ra requirement if critical. Note: DIN Class 3–6 requires grinding; Class 7–9 is achievable by hobbing only.

Quantity & Delivery Date Prototype/sample quantity plus anticipated production volume. Required delivery date. For mill-down or vessel dry-dock emergencies, state this explicitly — we confirm the fastest achievable schedule.

Documentation Requirements Specify if you need material certificates, MPI certificate, gear analyser report, PPAP documentation, or classification society survey (DNV, Lloyd's, ABS, KR) so these can be quoted at the outset.

Korea Ever-Power accepts worn gear samples for reverse engineering as a standard service. Ship the gear to our Ansan-si facility. We measure all tooth geometry by gear analyser, confirm material by OES spectrometer, and supply a full dimensional report — included in the quotation for the replacement gear order. No minimum order quantity.

Yes. Common equivalents: 42CrMo (GB) = 42CrMo4 (DIN) = 4140 (ASTM) = SCM440 (JIS); 17CrNiMo6 (GB/DIN) for railway traction; 20CrMnTi (GB) ≈ 20MnCr5 (DIN) for carburized gears. We provide material certificates confirming chemical composition and mechanical properties.

Standard package: material certificate (heat number, chemical analysis, mechanical properties), hardness test record, gear analyser report (profile/lead/pitch per DIN 3962), 100% MPI certificate, and dimensional inspection report vs drawing tolerances. PPAP, classification society survey, and additional NDE arranged on request at quotation stage.

  • Small gears (M1–M12, OD ≤ 200mm) in stock materials: 15–20 working days
  • Medium gears (M12–M30) with carburizing: 4–6 weeks
  • Large cast-steel gears (OD > 500mm): 8–14 weeks

For mill-down or dry-dock urgencies, contact us with your required date — we confirm the fastest achievable schedule based on current production loading.

Yes — no minimum order quantity. Single-piece prototype and engineering sample orders are accepted. For prototype orders where production volume may follow, indicate the anticipated production quantity so we can provide appropriate pricing for both phases in the same quotation.

Standard terms: 30% T/T deposit on order placement, 70% balance before shipment. Letters of Credit (L/C) accepted for large orders. Extended payment terms available for established customers — discuss at quotation stage.

Korea Ever-Power supplies both loose gears and completely assembled helical gearbox reducer units (housing, shafts, bearings, seals, oil-fill). For a bolt-on drive, provide torque, ratio, input speed, mounting configuration, and dimensional envelope — we recommend or custom-design an appropriate unit.
