How to Choose a Helical Gearbox

Choosing the best helical gearbox is dependent on the type of application you want to use the gear for. You will need to consider the contact ratios and the total of profile shifts required.helical gearbox

Spur gears are more efficient than helical gears

Compared to helical gears, spur gears have straight teeth that are parallel to the axis of the gear. Because they are more efficient, spur gears are often used in low speed applications.
